Description:
Mazda, the Japanese brand car which means ’wisdom’, is back with a vengeance. The 1990s and early 2000s saw a slump in the sales of Mazda cars, but these recent years, Mazda is starting to rise from the ashes. The 1970s could be considered as the company’s prime what with their Wankel rotary engine out-selling all their competitors. The first Mazda models are the RX-7, Rotary Pickup, the Luce sedan and the Mazda Chantez kei car among others. In the 1980’s Mazda 323 and Mazda 626 were such phenomenal hits that they even defeated the popular Toyota Corolla in sales. Mazda sales started to decline when 1990’s came in. However, because of good market response by 2006, Mazda became intrepid enough to release five new models: a minivan, Mazda5, hybrid Tribute, CX-7 SUV and the MX-5 Roadster Coupe to satisfy everyone’s needs.
